Diploma in Accounting and Finance
The current trend of manpower requirements in this country is that there is a great need for highly trained personnel to perform routine functions in various sectors of our economy. With globalization, the survival of an organization largely depends on the existence of manpower with high-level accounting and finance skills.
Such manpower would be required to carry out routine functions that offer a competitive advantage to the organization. In Uganda, the issue of decentralization and privatization raises the accelerated need for trained personnel possessing the required knowledge and skills to prepare the necessary documentation that provide timely accountabilities. With modernity, there exists a great challenge of producing personnel who possess Information and Communication Technology (ICT) competencies for tapping global opportunities and be able to communicate effectively.
The programme shall target the students with ‘A’ Level Certificates, Diploma holders, Degree holders, Holders of Certificates in Business Studies, Certificates in Accountancy and persons who have passed Mature Age Examination.
Admission to the Programme
- One principal pass with two subsidiary passes either in Arts or Science subjects at the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education examinations (“A” level) or its equivalent;

- Must pass the University Mature Age Entrance Examination.
- Any diploma in related fields from a recognised Institution.
